Within the frame of their tourism studies with Miss Fourquet, first year Master’s students from Vatel Bordeaux were fortunate enough to visit the world reknown village of Saint Emilion, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999.
In the morning, a guide showed the students around the town’s underground treasures, including paintings in the Chapelle de la Trinité, the monk Emilion’s hermitage, and the secrets of the catacombs.
In the afternoon, students visited the cellars and underground galleries of Château Cardinal Villemaurine. The owner, Monsieur Carille explained them the process of winemaking which ended by a tasting session of 2010 vintage of Château Cardinal Villemaurine, one of the finest vintages in recent years.
