Head hunter for the Northern Europe area, Nicolas Van Vaerenbergh explains the reasons behind the presence of club med at Bordeaux.

Nicolas Van Vaerenbergh has been working for Club Med since December 2013. He worked in China, France, Morocco and Turkey both in operational and managerial positions.

Let’s discover his thoughts on the expectations and the perspectives offered by Club Med.

Why did you choose to recruit at Vatel Bordeaux?

The employment rate of the hotel sector is 80% and the leisure sector 20%. We are looking for qualified managers in the hotel-restaurant industry. We already hired students and graduates from Vatel, for instance Justine Clochard (Front office assistant manager), Xavier Boubee (Housekeeping manager) and Constance Tian (Cost Controller). We trust the rigor and the diversity of the Vatel courses which are compatible with all our positions, which account to 140.

What are the skills needed to work at Club Med?

The most important skill is knowing your job inside out in order to train properly your team and advise your clients. Our next recruit should respect Club Med’s values:
