At the start of each academic year, our first-year students in Bachelor and MBA programs take part in practical workshops to develop their professional skills and get their careers in the hospitality and catering industry off to a good start.
Standing out from the start: the LinkedIn and resume workshop
To best prepare for their future careers, the school teams at Vatel Bordeaux are offering a new workshop for first-year Bachelor‘s, MBA or Foundation Year students. Indeed, they are participating in a workshop dedicated to creating compelling resumes and optimizing their LinkedIn profiles.
Supervised by the Corporate Relations Department, they learn how to structure their resumes effectively, highlighting their key skills and experience. They also receive practical advice on how to use LinkedIn as a powerful professional networking tool, which is essential in the hospitality and catering industry.
This workshop enables them to lay the foundations for a solid professional identity from the very first weeks of their training.

Dive into the fundamentals of catering : the service workshop
During this workshop, students in Bachelor program and Foundation Year are introduced to the essential rules of catering service.
Supervised by the team at Les Tables Vatel restaurant, they learn the basics of the gestures, posture, and interpersonal skills that are essential in the dining room. Through practical role-playing exercises, they receive advice and experience the demands of service, while developing their attention to detail and hospitality skills.
This is their first real-world immersion in the daily routine of the hospitality and catering industry, allowing them to acquire professional reflexes right from the start of their career. Thus, they are ready to carry out their professional placements in partner institutions.

These back-to-school workshops offer our students their first immersion into the demands of the professional world. By developing their technical skills and professional attitude, they start the year with confidence and begin laying the foundations for their future careers in the hospitality and catering industry.
