The 2015 graduation ceremony took place at the Dauzac Château one of the “Grand Cru Classé” of Margaux.
The graduation ceremony was held on May the 6th in one of the oldest wine making Château in the Medoc; “Château Dauzac”.
Since 1988, it’s the MAIF -mutual insurance company- that owns the Château. After more than 10 years under the management of André Lurton wineries, it was up to Laurent Fortin in 2013 to step in and lead Dauzac to its renaissance.
The graduation started around 7 pm at the property. Welcomed and shown around by the wine tourism manager Hélène Puteaux, it an uplifting tour filled with stories and technical details that everyone enjoyed.
Later on, our direct M. Glorieux gave his traditional speech, giving to each student a bottle of wine to mark the end of their journey at Vatel. The cocktail dinner followed and guest tasted the Château Labarde 2010 and Labastide Dauzac 2010 with some side dishes.
A warm thank-you goes to Hélène Puteaux for her warm welcome and love for the profession which she has touched us with thorough the evening.
