Regina Sabirova, a Vatel Kazan student in Russia, tells us about her second year as a Marco Polo exchange student in Vatel Bordeaux
]Attending Vatel Kazan was an opportunity for me to have courses in hotel management given by the very best people in this field. I didn’t hesitate at all when I had the opportunity of spending my second year in one of the Group’s four Schools in France, and I chose Vatel Bordeaux to find out more about this very specific French art of hospitality that the whole world envies.
As soon as I arrived, I was able to experience it: both staff members and students put me at ease as of my first day and the only hard thing for me was my French language classes. But I progressed really quickly by going to the movies for example with my friends and always speaking French with them. I hope that I was able to give all of those who hosted me so well all of my enthusiasm and my daily cheerfulness.
Here I’m thinking in particular about the guests and staff members at the Front Desk of the All Suites Appart Hotel in Bordeaux where I spent several months of my internship. I came back to Russia with much better linguistic skills, and better operational and managerial experience and know-how and I’m really sure that I want to do my career in the international hospitality industry.”
