Graduation Ceremony for the 2015 Bachelor students at Château Siran, the celebrated wine estate of Margaux

The graduation ceremony was held on Tuesday, the 9th of June at the magnificent Château SIRAN, a property which has been owned by the MIAILHE family for 5 generations : 150 years have passed since the current proprietor Léo BARBIER- Edouard MIAILHE’s ancestor – bought the estate, on the 14th January 1859.

Following the traditional « photo », taken on the Château’s beautiful terrace, our hosts took us on a tour of the estate. The visit began with the « portrait gallery » gathering five generations, then the collections cellar which houses 300 art objects on the theme of wine, ancient pottery and ceramics, followed by the vat room and the beautiful barrel cellar.

After a tasting of « S  de Siran » 2010, each  student weas given as gift a bottle of Château Siran 2008, during our Director’s traditional speech.

The cocktail buffet dinner, prepared by Franck BRUNEL (former student of VATEL Bordeaux currently running the trendy restaurant L’EPICURE) was a huge success.

The coaches left the estate at 10 pm to return to Bordeaux.
