Accompanied by the teams of Vatel Bordeaux, Lise Fournial & Jeanne Briquet organised the painting exhibition “Voyage, Voyage” and its opening. Testimonies.
As part of their professional practice in the Promotion & Communication department at Vatel Bordeaux, two students in the 3rd year of the Bachelor’s programme (international class) organised a unique event in April. Namely, Liz Fournial’s painting vernissage which took place on Tuesday 19 April 2022 in the Marco Polo Room of the Vatel 4* hotel, and which has since given rise to the exhibition “Voyage, Voyage”.
Behind such an event are in fact the students Jeanne Briquet and Lise Fournial, who worked hand in hand for more than 4 months. To find out more about this project, we asked each of them to tell us about their experience and what they remember about it.
‘Confirmation that I am cut out to continue in the event industry’ – Lise Fournial
“Being both the artist and one of the organisers of this project, it was a lot of work for me. However, this work has made me aware of how difficult it is to organise an event of this kind. But more than that! I discovered new passions for communication and events.
I learned not only to gain confidence in myself but also to work on an event from A to Z as a team with Jeanne, who was a tremendous help and who knew how to carry me up to the end. This experience, both professional and human, allowed me to realise my potential and to confirm that I was made to continue in this field!
Organising this exhibition is, in my opinion, a first step towards the professional objective I set myself when I arrived at Vatel: to open an eco-responsible restaurant that will exhibit artists from all horizons.
Thanks to the organisation of this exhibition, a clearer professional future’ Jeanne Briquet
“When Lise told me about this exhibition project, I immediately agreed to work on it. It was a golden opportunity to discover the real world of event management. Moreover, her talent really deserved to be exposed to the public.
Since the beginning of the year, I had been thinking about my future. I didn’t know what job would satisfy me and make me happy. Thanks to Vatel Bordeaux and this experience, I was able to familiarise myself with communication and promotion. I realised that I hadn’t yet understood many aspects of these sectors, particularly events.
And then we started this exhibition project and I didn’t give up once. Of course, there were moments that were funnier than others. But seeing the progress of the project through each of our actions was very rewarding and motivated me for the future.
I am proud to have been part of the development of Liz Fournial’s “Voyage, Voyage” exhibition. I am also very grateful to Lise Fournial, Fabrice Glorieux and Alexandra Gomez for this opportunity. They have given me a lot and thanks to them my professional future has become clearer.”
Two testimonies that give us a clearer idea of what goes on behind the scenes of this event and of the event itself. If your curiosity has been piqued, we invite you to watch the Instagram live of the opening and to discover this temporary exhibition “Voyage, Voyage”. It is held every Monday until June 13th (except May 16th) from 5pm to 8pm in the Marco Polo lounge of the Hotel Vatel Bordeaux.
A big thank you to our two students for their hard work and dedication! We are happy to have been able to help them grow both humanly and professionally within our school.
