• The European high tech hub, a “must see” business and tourist metropolis, ideally located between the ocean and the largest vineyard of fine wines in the world, Bordeaux boasts both tradition and innovation and is considered to be France’s most attractive city outside of Paris (1).
• Listed on the prestigious Unesco World Heritage list, Bordeaux has revamped its urban planning with expansion towards the river as well as a trendy district near the docks. In 2012, three million tourists came to visit this exceptional city with its cultural heritage, activities and congress halls. One of the largest trade fairs is the VINEXPO fair which attracts the best wine makers from the entire world.
• Recognized throughout the world for its gastronomy, exceptional wine vintages and quality of life, Bordeaux is continuing to expand its activities for tourists and wine-related tourism with the launch of the Euratlantique business center and the City of Wine Making Civilizations.
• Very popular with students, Bordeaux attracts over 70,000 students per year. There are 20 private schools of higher education in the Chartrons campus –where Vatel Bordeaux is located – and nearly 5,000 students.
