Vatel commits to Tourism for all

In 2014, Bordeaux was the first city in France to obtain “Destination for All” certification, which acknowledges and promotes areas that provide access to tourist venues for people with mental and physical disabilities.

With the same aim in mind, Vatel has committed to provide its future clients with a high-quality welcome, accessibility and information by introducing Tourism & Disability certification for the Vatel hotel and restaurants.

The entire Vatel campus (hotel, restaurants and college) has been designed to facilitate access for people suffering from any of 4 types of disability – auditory, visual, mental and physical. The architecture, signage, visibility and use of facilities ensure that every area is accessible and moving from one to another is problem-free.

In the hotel, in addition to one room with access for a physically disabled guest, all the other rooms have been fully equipped to provide maximum safety and comfort for people with one or more other disabilities.
